I installed 2010 and it will not work. Also Design review will not start either. I updated vista and my drivers and still will not work. The strange thing is when I right click the icon I can change the compatability to windows xp service pack 2. Then it will run, but I still cannot start new conceptual forms or even familys. I can only work in the project except when I load a family in it will crash So I have tried everything. When I install it to I need to select 32-bit ? Or will it automatically install what is right for your operating system. I noticed when it was installing its showed 86x or something like that what does this mean? Please help I want to use 2010

Revit automatically recognise th OS you have and install the appropriate version, "Also Design review will not start either" I don't know what could be, did you try to uninstall and reinstall again????

ok I tried again. It said 32-bit when first installing. Same problem and it is stressing me out. I tried the compatability to xp service pack 2 and then worked. But same problem.... this is a print screen of when I try to open a family or even new conceptual mass.

My guess is your having an OS problem not a Revit problem. Is your Vista an upgrade from XP or is it the original OS for your machine?

Hi jaybo, well if you downloaded the Revit from Autodesk site, are you sure you also downloaded the .cab files?? ( I mean Family files, etc.)

My lap top is not even half a year old and is using vista 32 bit built in. Well no not all the family files just the templates. I dont see how this would effect it from not running. I might re install my operating system which really sucks if its not my system. To download another trial would take way too long so not sure what to try
