we have an exposed edge winder stair, enclosed from below by a wall. the problem i can't solve is how to create a partial miter at the corner so that the wall from below does not come through the riser of the corner winder. Any thoughts? (i'm a newbie and apologize in advance for the confusing description!)

Create a VOID in-place in the category "Walls", then use the cut geometry to cut that portion of wall...

unsuccessful. create-in will not let me create a void without something to cut. could you be a little more step by step?

LOL, JPRADO I speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and a little of French, you don't need to "excuse", when you have doubts go to the "profile" and check what you want to know about one member here in RevitCity.... I'm glad you solve the problem....

ingles, espanol y me defiendo en frances. I had a question about interior elevations that i posted earlier under newbies, but maybe you can point me in the right direction. I have been using revit for 3 weeks so i am very new to everything, but when i create interior elevations, the walls and floors cut as if they were sections. i have seen beautiful revit interior elevations with strong profile lines outlining ceilings walls and floors. is there a setting in the elevation tag or what? perhaps i should find a tutorial.
