I have a 2 story house. I go to a 3d view and then use the crop box so that I can see all the walls and layout of the 2nd floor. I have shading with edges on so that the layout is more clearly visible. But the problem I am having is that I can see the top of the walls from the first level on the 2nd floor. I currently have the 1st floor walls top constraint to go to the 2nd level. I went to the element properties dialog box and couldn't find anything to turn them off. Plus I don't even want them to go that high. I have 12" deep joists. So I would like for the stud walls to stop at the bottom of the joists. Please advise.

You need to tell your walls to attach to the bottom of the floor, not to the second floor level. Edit the floor, and it will ask you if you want to attached the walls below to the floor. And it will move the tops of all the walls down to the bottom of the floor. You can also "cheat" and copy your floor ontop of itself, make it 1/8" thick, and it will hide the walls below. Right now you are seeing co-planer surfaces (The top of the wall and the top of the floor are EXACTLY in the same position)

Thank you very much. I was actually cheating another way by going to my sections and doing an align command. Much more time consuming. You way is soooo much easier. Thanks again
