Hi Does anyone know how to import an image file which is embedded in an export to Autocad? In my title sheet I have 3 images, like client logo, site logo etc. When I export the revit sheets to Autocad the image files are not embedded. Revit creates a separate image file which is linked to the cad dwg. If I delete the image, cad cant display the image I have tried with dwg, jpeg and pdf formats, I can't get revit to import an ole object which could have been the solution. thanks

This should be a simple linked file in CAD and you can manage the image in CAD. That has worked for our jpg images (renders) that we place on our cover sheet. We have also been able to embed them but I can't remember how off-hand.

Hi WWHUB, I guess it is last solution option as i currently a set off 100 dwg which will probably be more in a months time and often this is done in the early morning hours. If you remember how to attached the file please let me know. I guess a lisp file for this in cad could be extremly helpful otherwise, anyone got one? Thanks for the work around it - ll

That was a long time ago....
When you export to CAD, the image is exported as a seperate file. This works but there can be a file path issue if you move the CAD files. You need to edit the CAD file to change the path of these image files to a relative path in CAD. THIS IS A REAL PAIN!

Hey there,
Regarding this jpeg image that is exported along with the CAD files, is there a way to stop this? Maybe a tick box or something in settings?
We don't use the file and therefore have the issue of needing to manually delete this file everytime we export to CAD formats and it's just time consuming. It will automatically be named to a file name which is in excess of about 50 characters and sometimes we aren't even able to delete it straight away because "the file name is too long"
Just wondering if there's a way to actually stop revit from exporting these images. I've searched through forums and the Revit help to try and find a solution with no luck thus far.
Thanks in advance
