I am trying to schedule the properties of nested elements within a host family, I have this panel: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b372/snowyweston/Query-1.jpg In which I have loaded (at present generic model) elements (green & blue) that flex accordingly with the change to the Panel Height, Panel Width & Panel Thickness by "pairing" the parameters. Loaded into a project I can schedule the shared parameters set within the host family to get this: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b372/snowyweston/A1.jpg Adding a second type of the host family, I then obviously get this: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b372/snowyweston/00.jpg and that's a good start, but where I am failing is to now schedule the information within the host family to get at the "green & blue" parameters, ie: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b372/snowyweston/A.jpg Which, with the second type of the host family, would/should give me this (in the two different schedules) http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b372/snowyweston/02-3.jpg How do I do this? And whilst I'm here - how do I get links to work here?Edited on: Sun, Apr 26, 2009 at 5:51:21 AM

To post a hot link , in the options of the posting window, you will see a chanin link, highlight the words or an http address and this link option will un-ghost, pick it then enter the address (or paste it). I didn't look at your links but just a sa guess, did you set the nested family to "shared"? You must do that in the family editor before you load the family. Under options.

I just had a look at that method - unless I'm mistaken it would appear this forum doesn't support image placement within posts - which (if the case) is a great shame as images illustrate ideas so much easier.... As for setting the nested family to "shared" - is this in the "family categories" section? I'll have a look at it tomorrow - it's too nice outside to sit at my computer.
