I am on Rst 2009. I could see the view names for sections on sheets. Could anyone please help me how to add a 'tag to show view name & view scale' on section view itself (may be to select the crop region for tagging?). The reason is I need to export a set of sheets consisting sectional details to AutoCAD where the Sheets are visible in paper space with section titles. In model space, the section views are not placed in order and the 'view names' are not shown. I find it difficult to search/identify each sections since I have more number of sectional details in my model.Thanks.

You can set up your tags so that they have a cut on / shown on tag. You can also set up your export to not be all in one dwg ... in other words, the views are independent dwg's and the paper space sheet xref's these views in.

Thanks for the reply. The independent dwgs/ xref option is fine. But I do not understand your first line "You can set up your tags so that they have a cut on / shown on tag". Please explain. Thanks.

Call out tags can be set so they are a two way reference. In the view they are cut from ... like a floor plan, they show the view identifier and the sheet it is shown on. On the sheet where the view is, the view title can be setup to show what sheet the view was originally called out from.

Thanks Hub. Delayed response since i was off this task long ago. But after few atttempts, found out that it may not be possible to tag a section view by selecting the crop region and wanted the tag to show the name of the view and corresponding scale. Sorry if i have not rasied the question clearly on the first post. The actual situtation in question is like editing a component family and trying to tag the component - where it is not possible. Please corrrect me if I am wrong. Thanks.
