When I import an IFC file form ADt to Revit it doesn’t convert it right. All the beams are thrown away from the building (see attached file). The company I work for haven’t updated Revit with any builds since Revit 2009 came out. Is it an update problem??? Hope you can help

Nicolai

I don't have ADT...but in Microstation...when I run into this...it's because there something I have done in exporting to IFC...you might want to check your settings....for example in my IFC mapping...I can't get Revit to read IFCBuilding...but IFCBeam is read well...so I select everything in my file and apply the IFCBeam entity and I get a perfect model...let me know if that works...also what are your settings in exporting out to IFC

Thanks for your reply. I have tried to load it into 2 deferent Ifc viewers and the model is perfect in these programs. I cant se what I am supposed to in the import IFC Options and where do I find the Ifc entity you talk about, and how do I apply it to my beams. Thanks for all the help
