I want to create a void or cut the corner of this monolithic stair to meet the slab where it extends past brick veneer only. I'm not able to get a void or cut geometry to work. Revit 2010 John

And I don't think you will..... Either do your stairs as an in-place family extrusion using the side profile you want or Start you stair one step up and modify the end of your slab with a slab edge sweep ... or something in-place.

WWhub, You confirmed that i can't void or cut geometry. Thanks. Typhoon, that worked. I tried it before. Wheni did it the first time i put in a positive number and it messed up the stair. I got it now. Set extend below base to -5" I had to split and move walls so they could attach to the stair and slab and used a little linework. Thanks guys, John

Jarosa, You welcome WWhub, you don't need that man.... I'm glad the problem is solved because if you create a "In-Place" in 2010 you can find the category "Stairs" so the void don't work, the cut-geometry can't work...

Hey guys, Just for sits and giggles here is the rendering. We are replacing the existing stair. I'm doing coordination drawings for the field. We are reusing the existing rails (not shown) because they are somewhat ornate. We have to make sure the elevations and dimensions are right on so when we bring the rails back on site after rehab it all comes together. Meanwhile i'm working out the details. Revit is nice for this. It helps us pick up details now and reduce guesswork in the field. How's Revit 2010 going for you? Thanks again for the help. John
