The drawing that I am working on in elevation view has about 6 different "levels" but when I go to set up the view range for each drawing, the only choices I have are "Associated Level (Level 1)" "Level Above (Level2)" and "Unlimited" I think that these are revits default views, correct? Is there a way to get Revit to reference the architectural views. I am using Revit MEP 2009 and have an architectural file linked in.

Did you copy/monitor levels? If so, the levels should exist in your project. If not ... then you don't have them. To crate a plan from a level, click on view / floor plan and choose from the available levels.

They were blue, then I did the copy/monitor thing, and now they are black, but when I go to the properties menu, and then view range, I still only have the default views. Is there no way to make the new views shown up when setting up the view range, or do I need to remake all my drawings using the view-new-floor plan option?

You have to set up the views first... Both Typhoon and I told you how to do that.

In the elevation plan, I just made my own levels where I need them and then they show up in the view range.
