Has anybody taken and passed the exam? (Need you input.) From what I've read, there are total of 2 exams. Certifed Associates and Certified Professionals. Is it true that you have to take both in order to be considered "Autodesk Certified Professional"? My question is that if you pass the "Certified Professional" exam, why would you need to take the 'Certified Associates" one?

The Associate Exam is a prerequisite.

I took the pro before the assoc. test and passed with ease. You can get vouchers to pay for the tests... i had 4 of them but forgot how i got them. Once you are a certified profesional Autodesk publishes your information to a list of profesionals by area on their webiste. plus you can run down the street screaming and "I AM A REVIT GOD!!!!" and everyone will bow to you and give you presents.

I was reading some articles online. You get the vouchers from attending the AU by Autodesk last year. And they are good for 6 months. Do you still have those vouchers?

I took both tests yesterday, using my AU gift card. Only cost me $50. I got a 20 out of 20 on the Pro test. Too easy. The test is not really comprehensive, and if you read the AOTC book you will have seen the information for all of the questions. Now what, well my boss's were proud of me, I would like a raise now please. However, for a test so easy to pass I wounder what other Revit professionals will think of it.

I was thinking doing the tests before, but I am in New Zealand I couldn't find anywhere I could do the tests. Do you guys think I can do the tests online? Could you inform me how much the test cost? that will be very helpful.

hi all i am also thinking of getting certification but couldnt find anywhere to do it in my country Indonesia. so i asked the technical support on the website and it says that i have to travel to a country that has an Autodesk Certification Centre. the nearest country to mine that has this is India, but i'm not sure if it's worth to go all the way there. I guess i will contact some of the listed companies there to get information. Have anyone had similar experience?

Can anybody find the practice tests for this exam? In the pdf it specifies that I can practice from home but never explains what site I visit to practice.

I am also interested in the Practice Test, as well as whether they are updating the test for 2010 and when, if the are.

I dont recall a practice test. I recommend taking the first test that is multiple choice, then assess your skills from there for the next test. I found both test to not be extremely complicated like the autocad test use to be.

You can buy practice exams - go to http://autodesk.starttest.com/ and on the left side it says "purchase exams" and if you sign up so that you can login, then go to either student or pro of "Purchase Exams" and scroll down to the bottom half of the page, and there are $20 per exam - i know it's money, but if you want to practice, that's one way to do it. I don't know where to get free practice exams.

@irmadhanio - I have not taken the test yet but have looked into it a little bit, The first place i would start looking would be Autodesk University. If I recall correctly, I believe they offer the test and vouchers. The Associates Exam may also be free at thier website.

What's the gist of these tests?
How do they test Revit competency? The first problem I see is that there are usually a few ways to solve any given problem.
