Hi I created a parametric mirror as a wall based family, and it worked great untill I stumbled upon this situation. The image shows two walls A & B. Everything works fine on Wall A. On Wall B, I've hosted the mirror twice, and on both sides, the mirror is reversed (reflective side facing inside wall) and recessed into the wall. I don't understand why this family works on all my other wall types, so I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my wall. Yet, even here, I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I think Revit assumes the mirror is only going to attach to a wall with the same thickness as the one in the family (wall A). You need to specify in the family file that the wall thickness can change. Align and lock the backside of the mirror to the face of the wall. You also need to specify that while the wall thickness might change you want the thickness of the mirror to remain constant. To fix this run a dimension line from the wall to the face of the mirror and lock the dimension. If you have more geometry than just one extrusion you might need to repeat this process but if not that should do it. Good luck.

That was absolutely it! Thanks so much. all I did was locking the mirror's thickness, so it now follows the face of the wall at a constant thickness. Thanks!!
