Hi

Ive got revit architecture 2009 set up on my new laptop(Toshiba Qosmio G50). I have attached to my laptop a HP Optical 5 Button Mouse. When i use revit i find that the scroll wheel pans rather than zooms. Has anyone experienced this before? Ive been pulling my hair out trying to configure it correctly but have been unsuccessful. Any help is would be appreciated greatly.

I'm sure the problem isn't in Revit, you must control that in "Control Panel > Mouse", check also, the manual (if you have) of the mouse to see how can you configure well....

"I have attached to my laptop a HP Optical 5 Button Mouse." Being a "special" mouse (5 buttons), you must have the driver for it....

Work with your mose settings on your system through your control panel.

Try changing the middle button function. It's probable something like "Autoscroll" at the moment, see if there is a "Middle Button" option. Since you have a different mouse, you may have a separate control panel for it instead of the windows control panel.
