Say for instance I have three files. A.B.C. I’d like to reference typical details that live in file C from file A. Yes, I can go to the visibility graphics in file A and reference a view from the file C link, however, how do I avoid having to use a “dumb” callout, or rather, how can I have my callout in file A reference the number and sheet that a detail is on in file C? It’s not possible is it? Revit is set up so you can use links. You would always want to have typical details between linked buildings, or portions of a building. As soon as you want to reference details from another file, you realize you can’t and have to use a dumb tag that doesn’t update. What am I missing?
