Ok, so i just transitioned to a new PC, Revit 2009 in windows vista x64. I go to the revit directory under program files / program, yet there is no keyboard shortcuts. Is there some other place that the keyboard shortcuts could be? And yes, i checked both program files and program files (x86)

from the help menu: Open the KeyboardShortcuts.txt file in a text editor. This file is typically located in the following directory: C:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2009\Program\. The path may vary depending on your operating system or where you installed Revit Architecture. If it isn;t there, I would recommend just performing a search for "keyboardshortcuts.txt" in windows explorer. If you are using Vista, you have to go into the advanced options and tell it to search non-indexed and hidden system files. I'll assume the procedure is the same for x64.

Is your windows explorer set to view hidden and system files? It HAS to be there, but it is a hidden system file. SO, you have to have the folder view settings to allow visibility of those folders and then when you search, you need to check the box that includes them in the search. Beyond that, can;t help. Sorry.

Lizard is correct - it is in a hidden file. You can unhide the files in explorer. Go to the properties of the 'Users' and unhide all the folders. The attached image shows the location on my computer, but yours will be different.
