It happens all the time; the design and modelling begins with partial or no site information, including actual project elevations.  So, we set our first floor at 0'-0" or 100'-0" and get started.  When we do finally get the information, we now have uncoordinated, and inaccurate information on our drawings.

Luckily, this is a pretty straight forward fix that requires just a few simple steps which are outlined below.

1.  Go to an elevation or section view that has your levels visible.

2.  Go to "Tools", "Shared Coordinates->", "Specify Coordinates at a Point"

3.  Select the level line for which you know the elevation for (for example, if you know the first floor is to be 12'-3", select the first floor level line )

4.  In the Elevation box, change the value to the desired value (following the example above, it would be 12'-3" )

5.  Click "OK"

6.  Select any level line and then click the Properties button on the options bar

7.  Click the Edit/New button on the dialogue box that pops up

8.  Under Constraintes, where the option is "Elevation Base", choose "Shared" from the dropdown list.

9.  Click OK to close both dialog boxes.  Your level lines should now show the new elevation heights for the project.
