Hello all,

I'm having some trouble with railings.  I have a raised walkway and I need to cut a plan region through part of it to see what is below.  All other objects disappear from view where I have placed the plan region except the railing.  Is there a setting in the railing that I can manipulate in order to have it obey the view range?

Thanks!

You may have a problem if a portion of the railing exists in both view ranges - I have not had this condition so I am not sure.  Not sure how you can work around it.

Yes, that's the issue.  Someone in our office suggested breaking the railing into two and hiding the portion I don't want to see, but I'm hesitant to alter the model in such a way for one view...

Thanks anyway, I appreciate the responce!

In your VG settings, try unchecking the box under the railings category "Railings beyond cut".  Let us know if that worked.

Perhaps you can use the Masking region if it won't block out any objects below.
