Is there a way to make sloped slab edges square instead of plum much like you can do with a roof?

there is the thickened slab edge which you can modify and add to the edge of your slabs; modeling tab; host sweep; floor slab edge.  is this about what your looking for?

I attached an image of what I'm looking to do. If you do a roof extrusion you can control this easily in the element properties, but I don't see it for slabs.

You almost answered your own question.  Create a roof style with the components that you want for your slab and use the roof command instead.

The problem I've found with that (I've asked a collegue and he had the same results) is that even after adding the deck compenent it still doesn't show the flutes in section. Also, you don't get a span symbol. Any solutions for these two issues using the roof command?
