How can I tell how much memory a object is taking. What is a general rule or understanding of how to create geometry will minimal memory size. Specifically, If I have 100,000 cabinet pulls in a file, will the creation of a simple geometry of the pull impact the overall file size, and what geometry is less space than another.

You will just have to see what the size of the family is, im not sure if you can check the memory of an object. But i do know that if you have 100,000 cabinet pulls that are created in 3-d they will slow the model down alot more than just 100,000 objects created with lines. And if the object is already created in 3-d, you can turn off the solids in floor plans and elevations which will help.
