I have an issue with roofs and different wall types??? When I make a roof with a typical wall it works great as far as the placement on top of wall. When I change the wall to a stacked wall the roof moves up about three inches................ WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN???

I assume you've created your roof using pick walls. I'd imagine what is happening is the wall alignment is different slightly which is thus effecting the plate height that the roof is based off.

Well, if that's the behaviour you are after. If you don't want it to move with the wall and be able to explicity define the roof height based on a level then you are better just drawings the sketch for the roof rather than using pick walls. HTH.

Look at my attached image. As Mr Spot says, if you are using pick walls, the roof could be moving because your reference is moving ... depending on how your stacked wall is built. If you don't want that then sketch the roof!

I guess I don't understand why a standard wall the point of roof connection is the upper inside corner of the wall, ANd when you go to a stacked wall it is the center of the wall??? your using the same wall components???
