i'm currently trying to use Revit Architure 2009 to create a wall type that will allow us to show as much detail as possible. What we are trying to work with is a wall panel system that has panels at 1200mm in length, varies in height and width (either 75mm or 50mm in width). Is there a way to get these panels to either be put in so that they show a wall join in plan view (we can play with the different hatches in doing this, but we want to also show a hatch for the wall panel to differentiate the wall from other walls) and elevation view but then they show how the panel comes together in detail view?? We also require these panels to host windows and doors. I know I am asking a lot, and we have been playing around with a lot of ideas so far. I know how to create these without creating a lot of detail. I mainly want to see if it is possible to create it using a lot of detail!

We did try using a curtain wall system to create this, but we weren't able to put windows or doors into it? Could you point me into the right direction of how to create my wall profile using a curtain wall system??

Typhoon is correct - curtain walls will be the best for this job. Go into your library and choose curtain wall panels - there are doors and windows there. Standard doors and windows won't work in curtain walls.
