I'm attempting to create a column family. I created the column, loaded it into the project, yet I can't seem to adjust it's height. Changing the top level setting does nothing. What have I done wrong here?

did you lock the top and bottom to the levels in the family before loading it?

Thanks for the quick responses. I did not lock it to the levels. How do I go about doing that?

This is basic to Revit but here goes. In elevation, start the align tool. click the upper level. Click the top of the column. Make sure you select just the top. then lock the lock symbol. I'm not positive you need to lock the bottom but go ahead and do so. Load into project. Now your column will adjust to height just like a wall you can constrain or offset to any level.
