Can you be more specific about what you want?

ok, i'll try. for a room finish schedule, i would like to show the room name and numbers going down on the left side, while the finish materials (VCT, Carpet, Gyp Bd, Acoustic Tile, ect) going across the top. At the intersection of the material and a room name would be a check/circle/x...or some kind of mark to show that that room recieves that material....a matrix schedule. see attachment.

You can do this if you have a shared parameter for each finish type in each room. In other words ... about 22 parameters. Even then, you will not be able to have the bullets (maybe you could if they are in your font and the parameter is text???)

The problem with the yes/no is that you either get the words "YES" or "NO". It is not like you can get a YES and a blank. You can not change the font for those fields only. (If I am wrong please tell me I would love to know) What we have done is create a parameter that is next and just mark it with "X".

davbrink - you are right - that's why we use a text field and not a y/n.

Just create your room schedule and add a parameter for each finish column you want. It does not have to be shared if you are not going to export the schedule. Make each parameter an instance type - text. You can then group your column headers together to get the floor/base/walls/... groupings. Look in you help to learn how to do this.

thanks. i got it to work. i made a group with "VCT", "Carpet", and "Ceramic Tile" and grouped them with the header "Floor Finish"......however, i changed the orientation for the various finished to be vertical...but they still show as horizontal. any ideas?
