One of the computers in the lab I am teaching REVIT in at Ferris State University will not allow us to edit Materials. The choice is grayed out. It is the only computer in the lab that does this so it is unique to this machine and not the drawing the student is working on. Does anyone know what setting I need to change to allow customization of materials? Thank you. Bruce C. Dilg, Professor/NCARB

I had the same problem on my work computer. After downloading updates from Autodesk the materials were enabled again. Not sure how much help this is because after looking myself I couldn't see anything different between my machine and others that worked properly. good luck

The materials are greyed out because the library path is not set. Look in settings/options rendering tab and match the settings there with one of the ones that works.
