hi there, im new to revit, i want a new material for my list of materials in revit, the question is how can i put a new material to the existing revit mateials, thanks, hope 2 learn more revit...

It depends on which list you are trying to add to. The "Render Appearance Library" is read only and cannot be added to. The Settings-->Materials can be edited as much as you want. Simply set the base material from the render appearance library that is closest to what you need, then edit it as needed to appear as you need it to. I suggest you check the help file for starters and the Rendering presentation on my blog as this is a little tricky for newbies...
