Of course this topic comes from my AutoCAD background, but I was wondering if the same (or something like that) is possible within Revit.

In AutoCAD we used to make a book of details, most of the time in A4-format. Now of course you can make A4 sheets in Revit, but with something like 40 pages the list of sheets just gets to big to have a nice workflow.

Alternative is to put the details on a A1 or A0 sheet, but it's not the way we like it (again, of course because of our ACAD background).

Is there anyone with an idea to make this work? Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Frank

I don't see any problem about 40 pages of A4 detail drawing done in Revit, it certainly can go more than that. I am actually doing something similar to what you doing, the key for the workflow is an index system you assign to each page of A4 detail drawing, like a darwing number system, which can represent the content of the details. Spend a day to arrange the index system before you start creating those details, that will be my advise. Hope that helpful!

I think your right, of course it's possible to gain 40 sheets or even much more.

I'm gonna give it a try to figure out the right index system and the right layout view.
