I have an window catalog with all the Andersen Tilt Wash windows that i modified and now is saved as an .xls file. It appears Revit needs to read the file with comma delimited. How do I convert the xls file to comma delimited .txt file. I tried save as with the different .txt files to no avail. Revit would not open the catalog. John

The txt file and your Revit file needs to have the same name, and be in the same folder

Got that. But when i save as a .txt file, Revit won't open the catalog. It gives me an error: Row 1: unacceptable list separater y (with stupid double dots above), Acceptable list separaters are ,;:| What i need is a way to convert the .xls file to a file that revit will read as a catalog. I started typing in the new catalog in word pad and can get that to work, but it's easier to edit in excel. Unless I'm doing something wrong i can't save as from excel to a file type Revit will read.

Did you try saving it from excel as a CSV file (don't keep any fexcel formatting) then renaming the extension to txt.... that looks right to me.

WWHub, You the man. I did try the .csv file but i didn't think to reaname it to .txt (Not sure why, i renamed everything else) Anyways, worked like a charm. Andersen double hung full catalog for single wide units coming soon. Thanks, John
