I am trying to import a cad file of the site plan which includes a solid grey hatch where the building is. The problem is that when importing, the hatch turns to black. Is there a way to keep the topo/parking lines black but turn the hatch grey? I've imported using the "preserve" color feature, and then changing the lines in VG to black, but the hatch changes with it. I've imported using the "black and white" color feature and the hatch imports black. I tried turning off the hatch layer and drafting a grey filled region where the building is but I can't get any drafting lines to show up in this view. Any suggestions would be great!

Importing CAD hatches is bad news... Drafting lines work in all 2d views so you are not telling us something. So do filled regions that have a drafting line outline.

I always want my details to be drawn in Revit to make the full use of its benefits from size consistency and accuracy to a host of other things. My current firm insists on Linking CAD details to revit because everyone else is more familiar with CAD. My question is - using revit 2011 has anyone found a way to maintain hatch patterns in details when it's being imported from CAD to Revit??
Thanks.
