Okay so im trying to insert lights that are recessed into the ceiling in the kitchen of my house, but it wont let me place them anywhere. How am i supposed to do this? Also, i tried placing pendant lights, which also hang from the ceiling, and i was unable to place these as well. Thank! i can upload pictures if you so desire.

Hi, Are you sure you are insert the right lighting fixtures???? and you create the ceiling in that area??? or are you trying to insert those lights into the "Slab"????

well i have a floor on the second floor and the kitchen is on the first floor. I do have the correct lighting fixture selected. Im not sure if the floor above counts as a ceiling, i thought it did.

NO, if the light are a "Ceiling fixtures" you MUST create a ceilng in that area, after you create the ceiling in the plan view create also a section view in that area to adjust the height you want the ceiling...

alright, so once i create the ceiling i can just throw the lights into it anywhere i want?

yeah IF the lightings you are trying to insert are created to attach to ceilings....

well nvm i got it work, i feel kind of dumb for not even realizing there was a create ceiling button until you mentioned it.
