Hi, I have created some callout views, and these are now linked to the revit views and placed on sheets. I now need to replace the 'Revit' callout views with Drafting views (using imported ACAD details). Is there a way to have the callouts / sections changed to point to the drafting views instead? Thanks in advance. Revit Arch 2009

When you create the callout view you have the option at the top to reference another view. A new drafting view is created.

You will have to make new call-outs to reference your drafting views becuse you can not re-assign a callout.

Thanks for the responses. I agree, there does not seem to be a way to change them once they are setup. This would be a nice feature, as I typically setup my callouts / views etc early, so I know the scope of drawings required. At the time I am setting them up, I dont know if the actual drawing will be a real view marked up, or a drafting view. Looking forward to 2010...

You do know that in a "real view", you can turn off all model elements and just do the view with drafting elements ...

Thanks WWHub, that is how I ended up doing it in the end - I had created so many ref views, the thought of recreating them was too much....

Hey! I just found out that if you erase the reference view from the sheet your can select a new reference view for each callout/detail. I hope this help!
