guys, can u help me with this one.. im trying to import cad 3d drawing to revit , but when i explode this to revit, it diasappears and i cant apply materials to other autocad imports.. how can i do this? tnx for the help.. tnx!

Well, to start off, importing into Revit then exploding are not generally a good thing. Reason is you get line styles, fill patterns, materials and what not created from the layers in the dwg file. This also increases risk for file corruption, balloons file size. Second, only 2D geometry can actually be exploded, hence why you are losing the 3D aspect. It will basically flatten, then explode. The good news is if you really want to do this, you can apply materials to the layers in object styles w/o exploding it. Just pick the layer and apply the material. HTH

when i import cad format, this error pops and i cant import them in revit, do you know what to do with this? tnx in advance

and hey, brettgoodchild, i have seen ur site, how can u do ur site so good? do you do this only in revit? im having my thesis ryt now, in site, my grass and road i dull. i hope u may help me with this one.. tnx

No, the sitework is not done in Revit. The renderings are done in Max, and the work is done in Civil
