Hi Folks, I'm having trouble creating a material for rendering that I need. I'm wanting to create a white material that's about 50% transparant, I'm creating a model with a marquee over the top of it and I want to render the image, but be able to partially see through the marquee. I've tried to starting off with the generic material, change it to white and change the transparancy settings, but it just seems to go all rough, like frosted glass. I've also tried different glass settings, but it just doesn't look right. Has anyone any material settings for a nice smooth, white semi-transparent material (something close to the below pic, only rendered)? thanks, Gareth

Yeah, that's just what I'm looking for. I would really appreciate it if you posted up your exact material settings, a screen shot would be great! thanks mate1
