i'm trying to modify a inverted 't' profile that i downloaded from the site. i'm able to control the height of the seats on the 't' but i'd like to be able to control the end lenghts of each seat as well. Can anyone help? i've uploaded the 't' with individually adjustable seats that i'm trying to modify.

Adding reference planes after the element is built is hard to do. As you model something, Revit builds associations so anything you want to associate with needs to be there first. However, you can do it but you have to edit each element and make sure they associate with your reference plane and not something else in the family.
