I'm trying to work through some tutorials on window families. I'm having trouble figuring out the head and sill returns though. If I specify a solid sweep, it forces me to pick the edge of the cut opening. . . this is not going to help because the ends of the sill need a profile too, not just the front.

If I was working in SketchUp, I would draw a line from the corner of the window opening out 4.5" from the wall, then parallel to the opening and then another 4.5" back to the other corner of the opening. I would then set my profile and use the followme tool to have the profile chase it around.

Either way, how do I make the profile sweep return?

Oh bother! I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't let me before. Apparently you have to start the sketch mode in that view. I was starting from elevation or 3D. Many thanks!
