Being new to revit I have noticed that there are a lot of families dedicated to concrete and steel. This is great for my company but we also do a lot of projects with timber and specifically timber stud walls. If I am working on a project which uses timber walls how do I represent this on the plan sheets? Also, How do I identify shear walls, with a symbol, other then changing the element properties. The previous question also applies to bearing walls?

The first thing you should learn as a newbie is that there is a lot of information here on RevitCITY if you look for it. You should use simple one worh serches in the forum and sometimes you will have to use a synonym for your word. Be a little creative in the word you use. In your case the word should simple be "stud" . Hit the search tab - change the search area to forum and enter your word. You will find a lot of different posts on this subject from a lot of talented users.
