I have two laptops offers DELL Inspiron 1525 Intel Core2Duo 2.4/3M 15.4" Screen 320 GB HD 3GB RAM Intel X3100 Integrated graphics With full accesories and Hand Bag Price: 1450 $ and HP Pavilion dv5 1225ee Intel Core2Duo 2.13/3M 15.4" Screen 320 GB HD 3GB RAM nVidia Geforce 9200M GS (512 MB DDrs) Didecated With full accesories and Hand Bag Price: 1350 $ Whick Matters Most? the DELL CPU is better that the HP DELL is heavy duty more than HP HP have nVidia Geforce and its better than intel X3100 Which Laptop is better for Revit? Please Advice me

To run Revit Structure?? well you don't need to make Renders so i think i buy the DELL

That's not always true Typhoon. I have done some renderings for the structural team as well as walkthroughs. What you want to look for is speed and power. The GC really will only affect real-time previews from motion.It might be a good idea to figure out how you will actually be using Revit on the computer.Are you using as a drafting tool only or will you be doing a lot of modeling and engineering?Will you be exporting to Analysis software? If so, what types?Will you be working in team settings using Revit's worksharing features?And the list goes on. Looking at your specs, I would go w/ the Dell because it has a better processor, which will be more beneficial in the long run. HTH

i agree with Brett Goodchild, let cpu speed and ram be your main deciding factor.

That's what i mean, i don't know if he make renders and so one but (i don't work in struct.) but i imagine he needs more power speed than Render speed... that's why i told DELL...

Well thank you all for your comments
as i am a structure engineer i will mainly do engineering and structural modelling and looking for smooth modelling process,i wont need a lot of rendering but why not we all love those bright lovely rendered views of our models, bottom line as you advised i would go for DELL rather than HP
