I know you can pin a linked RVT to restrict it's movement, but can you set it up so that you can still see it, but it doesn't highlight if you accidentally select it? Matt W

With Revit, you really have to pay attention to window and crossing selections. Given dpth of view, you may be picking something on the otherside of the wall you can see through. Always use your filter when selecting!

So basically that's a big, fat NO. Which is pretty much what I was expecting - I just wanted to double-check. Thanks.

I think this just goes along with developing good REVIT habits. Looking at your filter after selecting with windows or crossing is a MUST ... with individual selections, you always want to use your tab and see what you are selecting in the lower left corner.
