I'm sort of new around here, and I'm sure this has been asked before so if anyone can point me to the specific thread, it'd be great, I am trying to make a window detail using revit architecture 2009 and when I go to load the windowsection.rfa, it is no where to be found, anyone have any other ideas?

Either you add detail components to a model section, or you create a drafting detail like you would in CAD. I prefer using the model section for walls and project specific details but they can not be transferred between projects. Therefore for items like door head/jamb/sill details, we use drafting details.
