My co-worker said he heard there was a way, with some command, to collapse all the browser categories & sub-categories all at once without have to click all the '-'s.

Anyone know anything about this?

TIA - Diane

Thanks for the reply, but no, that just closes all the windows you have opened (and is indeed very handy.). I'm talking about the Project Browser where you can expand and collapse the branches (which I called categories originally). Under the sheets you have sub branches that can be expanded as well.

He wants to be able to collapse all branches & subs at once.

Thanks but that just opens and closes the browser.

What my co-worker wants to do is be able to collapse all the branches and subbranches in the browser with one click or key stroke. My co-worker said he learned the trick in a class but can't remember what it was.

See attached

You can toggle between the asterisk and the minus sign on the 10-key pad.

hmmmm.... it seems, when you click in the browser and it highlights 'views' and you do the * or - it will close or open all the subfolders under views, but nothing below that because they are not sub-folders of the views folder.

To close Legends, Schedules, Sheets, Families....etc...you have to highlight each category seperatly and hit the * or - key.

In fact, when I tried * on the Sheets folder it opened all the sheets views fully, if I then hit - it will close the main folder but even if I just click on the + next to the sheets all my sheet views are still open and I have to - them all individually to reclose them. :-/

That's worse than when I started.
