I have an exiting building I am trying to model, with different exterior sill and lintel conditions for which I am trying to create toggles in the window families to avoid mutiple families of the same basic window. One type of lintel is a steel c-channel with the flanges facing out and recessed into a pocket above the window, but not cutting all the way through the wall. I have created families of the lintels inserted in a wall with a void form so they show properly, and then inserted them into the window family. They model great in the window family but will not show properly when loaded into the Model. I am about to pull my hair out because it won't work. Any suggestions?
