Attached to this message is an image showing a chase wall between two bathrooms. The chase wall is attached to a furring wall which jogs around ducts and the details of the bathroom. The image shows a medium detail view of the situation at 1/4" scale. Is there any way to get rid of the end lines of chase & partition wall when they meet the free-standing furring walls? (marked by red 'X"Winking Also is there a way to show free standing fur-out walls to show in coarse view BUT with only one side visible. (the other side will be a metal stud layer, and therefore will not be cut & should either be very light or invisible.) At the moment, the only way I can get the free-standing fur-out walls to not show the stud layer (indicated by GREY) was to eliminate it from the wall altogether, that is, to remove the stud layer and offset the 5/8" Gyp to the requsite distance. Another way to do the same was to override the Object styles of the wall. however, this works only in the medium and fine detail but not in the coarse detail. Technically, we could print from the medium detail, but the results leave a lot to be desired especially at door locations Any ideas or solutions to similar situations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Taking a quick look at it, I have a couple of questions. Why do you need the "furring" wall? The Revit model might be better developed by modeling walls with one type of wall with studs & GWB both sides, then another type with studs & GWB one side, another with 2 stud layers with GWB on the outer stud walls only. That said, have you tried joining your furring wall to the other walls? The clean wall joins setting of your view and their over-rides might also effect things. The linework tool is also there to be used in certain situations. HTH Tom

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
As I understand it, the wall with the stud & GWB on one side is what I need. However, in plan view, I do not need to see the line of the stud in 1/4" scale (coarse detail mode). Revit draws bold lines for both sides of the wall under these conditions. So rephrasing my question, How can I get rid of the line of the stud (in plan projection) or atleast make it lighter (in coarse detail level) while retaining it in the GWB side of the wall?

I'll have to try the linework tool next.
Thanks once again.

In course view you should only see two lines that define the outer boundries of the wall, no layers of the wall should be visable. Even in medium views at 1/4" the line weight of the outer boundry of the wall will most likely be fatter than the 5/8" GWB layer display. Play with your wall types and see how they plot. Remember the Revit rule "model it like you build it" and most of this stuff sorts itself out. HTH Tom
