I am a newbie to revit, I know max well and autocad real well. A feature I think would be great in revit is to copy an object in place and turn it the copy into a void. Then you could cut / trim any object that intersects with the original object. Does this sound like a cool feature to you more advanced users? I would think it would be easy enough to program into revit if they thought it was useful. Thoughts?

I actually think that would be pretty cool, then you could cut a hole for anything very easily just by using the object itself instead of dimensioning 908593845 things and then changing the dimensions of 932849 more things. Also, you could make case for object much easier.

I posted this awhile ago. Since then I have noticed in Revits recommended procedures they say to limit Voids within a model. Oh well I still think it would be a good idea if they could make many voids an acceptable procedure.
