I would like to know when your draw your details in Revit what scale do you draw them at and the text what size do you put it at? So when I put them on my sheets they are all the same size. Is this possible? Also I keep getting different size drawings and fonts when I import CAD files in to my revit files. What should I import CAD diles as?

If you are importing CAD files & exploding them without cleaning them up first, you are getting yourself in trouble. Believe it or not - CAD files tend to be in-accurate. Lines are ofteh "slightly off access". E V E R Y hatch becomes a new hatch in revit. Leader lines and arrows as well as dimensions are lines. Every CAD line becomes a new linetype based on the layer name. Text will come in as new text styles. The fix..... ALWAYS clean up your CAD file before importing. That means - blow away all hatches, arrows and arrow heads, dimensions and place all of your lines on one layer. After importing and exploding the CAD file, delete the linetype associated with the imported layer. All of the CAD lines will now be thin lines. Change those as required. Select all of the text and change it to your style and delete the imported style(s). Add dimensions and leaders to your text.

Thanks WWHub. I will work on that. However when you draw a detail from scratch in revit what do you put your scale at and what size font do you use? Thanks for your time.

This is not like "model space" in CAD. Revit will print your text the same height no matter what scale the view window is set at. So set your text to what is readable.... for most users, that is 1/8" to 3/32". Experiment! Set your view at 1/4" then change it to 1/2" and watch what happens!!!!

It really sounds like you don't understand. Sheets are real sized. If you use 24x36 sheets then you should be plotting full size and the sheet is 24x36. If you place a view on that sheet that is set at a view scale of 1/8", it will plot 1/8" and if you have another view at 3/4" , it will plot 3/4". If in both views, you have text set to 3/32", then all of this text in both views will plot at a real dimension of 3/32". Plotting from views is something else completely different! As far as what scale your views should be - that depends on what they are and your available sheet space.
