How can I adjust the mechanical duct reducer (I downloaded from the download section) so that the outer and inner diameter maintain the same at both ends, but the the length is increased? Please see the attached PDF file. Thanks in advance.

You should be able to drag the blue shape handles. Can you post the link to the download?

Please see the attached file. "Rectangle_Duct_Concentric_Reducer_47.rfa" The other file that starts with the letter "M", I think it means metric. Is that the reason why I can't load it to the Mechanical Equipment family since I'm in Imperial?

Not sure I understand your problem. 1. What version and what flavor of Revit are you using? 2. You mentioned outer and inner diameters, but the reducer family is rectangular on both ends. 3. This family is of the wrong category. It should be duct fitting, not mechanical equipment. 4. Why are you trying to "load it to the Mechanical Equipment family?" It is itself an family. Are you trying to make an embedded family?

It's Revit Architecture 2009. And the stuff I downloaded is Revit MEP 2009. I uploaded the wrong one, this should be the one, see attached file. I thought the duct fitting is part of the Mech Equipment (in Revit Architecture 2009). Since there's no category called "Duct Fitting" in Revit Architecture 2009. Do I just create a new category in Revit Architecture 2009 called "Duct Fitting"? I thought in order to use the downloaded .rfa files. They have to be loaded to a family first in order to use right. That's what I did for the .rfa I download from the download section in RevitCity. But the ones I downloaded from Autodesk Seek, (like the duct fitting), they can't be loaded, why?

Can't use these families in Revit Arch. They have special duct connectors that only Revit MEP can use. Sorry.

Actually, I was able to load the round duct concentric reducer into the mechanical equipment family for some reason. It's just this one is not the length one that I can control the length of the reducer. Please see the attached file, I was able to load it to the duct fitting family. But it won't allow me to snap to the corner of the element, why? Thanks in advance.
