Have been working on a model for some time before starting to look at my template settings. I've customised our template accordingly and and now want to import teh new temaplte into the old/existing model, how do I go about doing this? Alternatively could export my model and bring it into the new template, but unsure how to do this aswell? Using Revit 2009

You can not really import the template as such but you can: file/transfer project standards whichallows you to select which standards you want to transfer and you can: copy paste other families / schedules / legends and drafting detail views
