Hello All,

I have a few large ceiling-mounted specialty equipment items that I would like to show up as overhead or hidden lines on my floor plan.  From what I can tell, the only way for the outlines of the objects to show is by outlining the objects with hidden lines in the family editor, but even then, if I import them into my project, the whole object shows up on the floor plan because the hidden lines are below the cut line.  Is there anyway to get around this?  Thanks for the help.

one option that you could try is to specfic that all the other objects other than the hidden lines not to display in plan.

coreed, thank for the response, but is there a way to choose objects to show in RCP but not in Floor Plan?  When adjusting visibility, I am only given the option of RCP/Floor Plan.

no there isn't. i just meant  set your hidden lines to display and nothing esle. atleast it wouldn't be shown as solid. to do what you want you will probably have to setup some sub-catagories in your family.
