We have been using revit for several projects now but just noticed that our text sizes are off by a small margin. Typically we use 3/32" but recently discovered that in order to have a plotted sheet with text at 3/32", we must set the revit text to 7/64". All the sizes seem to be off by this similar percentage. Is there some overall scaling tool we don't know about or is this a Revit glitch? It is very easy to overlook. We only discovered it because we had imported a CAD detail and placed it next to Revit text on a sheet. The CAD text size is slightly bigger (and accurate) even though our Revit text was set to the same size. It is easy to fix but driving us a little crazy! Seems text size should be something a program like this could do accurately

I also want to add that I just checked the generic template (thinking it could be a problem embedded in our office template) and found the same problems. You could check it yourself... print out a 3/32" and a 7/64" test and scale them. Please let me know if yours is the same way!

Ok so after more investigation, I found that it is our font, architext, that is scaling wrong. I put both architext and arial at 3/32 and 7/64 into revit, exported to autocad and guess which program is smart enough to figure it out.... CAD! So the autocad file knows that architext at "3/32" is actually 5/64. Any suggestions? Should we just find a different font?

If your work around isn't adequate, then that might be your best option. But if you just need it to print properly, and there aren't any import / export issues, then stick with the 7/64" architext.
