revit arch 2009 I have an imported revit structure model that doubled the levels. I turned it into a group (don't tell me I shouldn't have done that, the project is too far along now.) the problem I have is that room boundry and model lines are NOT visible on plans. I deleted the imported levels and they are there, but they seem to be beneath the structure group. HOW do I make these show in order to resize rooms?

and when I hide the group, room boundry lines are still not visible.

You can try over-riding the Lines > Room Separation Lines in the Visibility/Graphics parameters for the view, also, in VG, turn on the Reference and Interior Fill so that they will show up in your room. If you have Structure that is hiding the separation lines, you can temporarily hide the Structure or Over-ride the graphics in View to make them transparent while you are re-sizing the Rooms.

VG is on. I'm afraid it's got something to do with the combined levels from both projects. Revit combined some levels and not others, left both sets of level there, and even gave some levels new names.

Sounds like you really have problems. If you had linked the model, the levels should have been the same . Did you turn off the floors?

BTW - If the two models don't share common levels, the room boundry lines in the link will not show.

at the begining, importing and linking the models, even though I imported the structure at "zero" level, it did not come in at this level, it came in slightly below it. It took me a while, looking at the elevation levels, to realize there were a whole array of levels that the structure came with, of course, and I highlighted the structure, and matched the levels accordingly. Somewhere along the way, when we were having trouble editing the linked structure file, someone made the structure a group, and this combined certain levels. When I delete one of the "matched" levels, the rooms show, but I'm losing several key walls. Anyway, I was able to get into the group and move the grid to where I wanted it. I gave up on the rooms. Deleted them and did everyting in filled regions. At least I know what not to do during the next linked project.
