I have attached a small version of the home I am working on. I can not figure out how to: 1. cut the roof out for the dormer 2. trim the two gables. right now you can see the underside in the living space. I have tried to use the opeing tood on the modeling bar wih no success? Really need some instruction on this. Thanks

1. Make sure the roof outline is visible in plan view. (set underlay in Element Properties for the plan view to show roof ouline) 2. Click the opening tool in the Modelling tab. 3. Select "Pick a roof, floor or ceiling and cut vertically" 4. Select the main roof which will host the opening. 5. In plan view, draw around the inner area of the dormer where you want an opening. 6. Click Finish Sketch. You should now be able to see through to the living space below. HTH.
