I like to print off a 3D view (regular, not camera/perspective) in hidden line and trace over it with trash to do a hand rendering.  If I don't rotate around in the view, it saves the angle of the view (eye elevation, target elevation) if I close the window to it.  However, it doesn't save the scale at which I'm zoomed into the view.  And once I close out of the project and open it back up the next day, even the angle of the view gets set back to some default angle.  Is there any way to lock my view in place, as can be done with camera views??

All you have to do is position the view where you want (default 3d view) select the detail and shading level you desire. right click and choose duplicate view-> duplicate view. then print it and draft your heart out

I did this already, but it still does not save the "scale" of the image, or how far I'm zoomed in.

I know that this can be done for the perspective views, but it doesn't seem to be possible for the regular 3D views.

thanks for your help, though.  Smile
