Hi I am learning Revit 2009. I have put a detail on a detail sheet with a longish title. How do I put the text all in one line & not have it wrap around & write over the line & text below? Cheers Dermot

You will need to either edit the view title tag family that the View Title is using or create a new view title tag if you still need it to wrap at this length in some locations... Once the family is open simply extend the crop box the desired amount and then reload it into the project.

Not sure if the last post went in. I have not been able to implement your suggestion Chris. I cannot seem to be able to get the text crop box opened up anywhere. Cannot open the family that the title is in. I have attached an image. It would be good if the text automatically went to hte length of the viewport & then wrapped to not overwrite the text below.

Select the View on the sheet (not the view title). In the type selector in the left click the properties button or right click on go to element properties. You can now see what family the View Title is using by looking at the text in the Title parameter. Should be something like M_View Title iew Title or similar. Take note of this name. Now in your project browser scroll down to the Families section and expand the tree, then expan Annotations Symbols, now right click the family with the matching name and choose Edit. (alternatively locate this family in your library) The family will open, select the Text Label and a crop box appears just extend it further to enable you to have a larger crop box. I would also set the vertical alignment to bottom, that way if it does wrap the text it won't overlap your line... HTH.
